Miki loses her mysterious bell-shaped object, that her school friend picks up. As they return home by bus, inexplicably the brakes fail, the bus rolls into a long dark tunnel, transporting the two girls into another world. As Miki awakens, she sees wolf-faced warriors abduct her friend — apparently to kidnap the girl with the bell, but taking the wrong girl. Miki tries to follow the strange monsters, to save her friend, but fails — trapped in a world of monsters and madmen, who plot the downfall of Earth.

The only power that can possibly save her (and the world) is that of the mysterious Mask of Zeguy. Miki must embark on a life-threatening quest for this talisman, with the villains in hot pursuit!

While walking through the streets of Tokyo, Linn Suzuki comes across a strange device sticking up from the sidewalk. Suddenly, she is set upon by thugs and is helped by a beautiful stranger who takes them all down. It seems young Linn has fled Deep Kyoto from her cruel mistress and has traveled to Edo where she hopes to find her long lost brother, who was last seen working for the Kuon Detective Agency. Nishi, an awkward young manga artist in Osaka, has had on longstanding crush on Myon. Thing is, Myon’s got a thing for rugged Ryo. Matters come to a head at her sister Yan’s yakitori restaurant, in the presence of the girl’s dissolute father—who happens to owe a bunch of money to a pair of creepy gangsters, who’ve come to collect. Pulling a fast one on God (in all his/her/its infinite manifestations), Nishi hightails it back to Earth, where he replays the crime to his advantage, steals a car and grabs the girls. Under a hail of yakuza gunfire, he bails off a bridge—and into the mouth of a whale. There, he and his two female companions encounter a tenacious and lively old man who has set up camp in the beast’s belly, longing to someday return to human company on dry land. With no immediate exit available, the quartet make do—fishing, fighting, making love, weaving tales of strange happenings on faraway planets and dreaming of life in the real world. The first two episodes are about a journey to the mars. The now 50 year old Scientific Boys Club decides to built a ship that sails to the Mars on the “Ethereal Current” – a thesis of the wife of a club member which claims that the universe is flooded with Ethereal energy. On this streams they travel to the Mars in order to prove an old theory about channels on the Mars built by Marsians, but there is no life. Many years later, when both theories are considered to be nonsense, a Mars expedition discovers a stone with the inscription “Scientific Boys Club 1954″.The third episode is a funny one about a shrinking experiment. Accidentially they shink Miss China, wo becomes smaller and smaller until they are able to construct a growing machine. The fourth episode is about an experiment to project the Mars by some kind of holographic technology, but also this experiment fails and they produce a fantasy world, built up by their wishes.
